Award season has officially begun with the 73rd Golden Globe Awards. Usually formal, yet, fun event jammed into the Beverly Hilton Hotel (as shown by Lady Gaga bumping Leonardo DiCaprio) The red carpet was filled with white, burgundy, and blush. With fewer black dresses and a more passionate palette, it was one of my favorite for glamourous fashion–to rent!
Jennifer Lawrence wore her usual Dior but un-usually tore a reporter a new “you know what” during a post win interview. How very un- JLaw? Try this siren red cutout by Elizabeth and James from Rent the Runway if you are looking to replicate this look.
Kate Winslet won for her amazing role in Steve Jobs, while wearing this beautiful Ralph Lauren. Try a similar short from Rent the Runway. Did anyone notice that both Titanic stars won a Golden Globe on the same night almost 19 years the mega-blockbuster?
Taraji P. Henson wowed in this caped white silhouette by Stella McCartney. I haven’t had the chance to watch Empire yet, but I know she plays Cookie, after she handed out cookies on her way to the stage to nab her award. Rent this Raoul from Rent the Runway.
Lady Gaga pulled from classic hollywood in this Atelier Versace. I’m curious if there’s added padding on those hips? I’m sure you can add some under this Badgley Mischka from Rent the Runway.
Jaimie Alexander is in one of my favorite new shows- Blindspot. This seasoned super-hero made her presence known in this Genny dress. Looking to replicate through renting- try this green Slate & Willow from Rent the Runway.
Amber Heard may of come solo but she certainly brought her A-game in this Gucci. Looking this stunning, who needs Johnny Depp. While her dress was in a fabulous blush color, you can rent this pinker verison by Halston Heritage from Rent the Runway.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley added a new accessory to her Atelier Versace, an engagement ring. Congratuations (finally) to her and Jason Statham. I doubt she will be adding his last name to her already hyphenated name. If you are looking for a similiar rental, the best I could find was this Badgley Mishka gold gown.
Jenna Dewan-Tatum looked like the “Bell of the Ball” in this Zuhair Murad. I just can’t look at her and hubby the same after their hilarious performance last week on Lip Sync. If you haven’t seen it- a must YouTube!! So good. Try capturing this ball gown with Monique Lhuillier lace one from Rent the Runway.
Olivia Wilde wowed in this rich burgundy Michael Kors Collection. Everyone should rent something in this color, and therefore wouldn’t budge on color over style for this one. Try this Nicole Miller from Rent the Runway, I know I am!
Side note: Jason Sudeikis (fiancee) showed up looking quite comfy in sneakers, while I’m sure Olivia’s feet were killing her in her Aldo shoes. Way to rub it in Jason.
