What a night! The CMA Awards, hosted here in Nashville typically brings out some interesting attire… With the dress code clearly stated as “Black Tie” for the 50th Anniversary of the CMA Awards, there was some serious fashion walking the red carpet last night! With a surprise appearance by Beyonce on stage, who can pretty much steal any show, it was an amazing night. Here are some of our favorite looks of the night and similar looks you can rent for your next big event!
Carrie Underwood
The host of the event rocked 11 looks during the show, but walked the carpet in this crystal and pearl fantasy by Michael Cinco. Finding anything close available for rent was near-impossible without shopping in the bridal department, but if you’re looking to rent something a little more wearable, check out this strapless laser-cut brocade gown by Marchesa, which you can rent at Armarium: http://bit.ly/2ej1xfG.
Kelsea Ballerini
One of our favorite looks of the night was Kelsea Ballerini’s floral floor-length gown by Michael Costello. This two-time nominee of the night blew us away with her performance of her new single, ‘Peter Pan’! Rent a similar style from Rent The Runway: http://bit.ly/2e6z9Cj.
Kacey Musgraves
Before changing into a short white frock for a tribute performance for Dolly Parton, Kacey Musgraves walked the red carpet in a Christian Siriano tiered tulle gown. If you’re looking for something a little smaller on the skirt, try this layered look from Alberta Ferretti from Armarium: http://bit.ly/2fIRUft.
Maren Morris
Nominated for five awards of the night, the CMA New Artist of the Year Maren Morris donned a stunning sequined gown from Michael Costello. Rent a similar look from Badgley Mischka from Rent The Runway: http://bit.ly/2fme2s0.
Reba McEntire
Country classic Reba McEntire wow’d in a long sleeve gold sequined gown column dress. Rent a near-perfect match by Badgley Mischka from Rent The Runway: http://bit.ly/2esFLcG.
Lauren Alaina
Up and coming country music act Lauren Alaina walked the red carpet in a fun floral ML Monique Lhuiller, perfect for Nashville in November (it was 80 degrees out!). Rent the exact dress from Rent The Runway here: http://bit.ly/2e6oYOd.
Jessie James Decker
It was all about the sequins this year, and we love country music artist Jessie James Decker’s T-shaped gown. Rent the same dress in navy from Rent The Runway here: http://bit.ly/2fmbZUv.
Sharon Stone
On a sequin roll! Sharon Stone stayed simple in this floor-length black v-neck gown. Rent a near identical dress by David Meister from Rent The Runway: http://bit.ly/2eECYL2.
Kimberly Williams-Paisley
Wife of co-host Brad Paisley walked the carpet in an emerald Rubin Singer gown, topped off with a 20-caret yellow diamond pendant by Johnathon Arndt that was later transformed into a pin worn by Brad onstage. Rent the look by Monique Lhuillier from Rent The Runwayhere: http://bit.ly/2fIVXbU.
Kimberly Schlapman (Little Big Town)
One fourth of Little Big Town, Kimberly Schapman wore a one-sleeved fitted blue gown embellished with a flower. Find a similar dress to rent from Rent The Runway: http://bit.ly/2fgZdun.
Taylor Swift
After the news spread that Taylor penned the latest Little Big Town single, this country-turned-pop princess skipped the red carpet and headed straight to the stage to present the award for Entertainer of the Year in this Julien Macdonald gown. My Look
When I visited Rent The Runway’s Style Studio in Soho, my stylist helped me to pick out this incredible Christian Pellizzari dress that was PERFECT for the CMA Awards, paired with my favorite shoes by Ralph and Russo. Rent it here: http://bit.ly/2eZqrVD
That’s a wrap on the CMA’s! Until next year…
